Is photography more akin to voyeurism?

Photography is about acquiring, taking and capturing for ones own gratification. If everyone was honest and came out of "Wonderland" they would own up to it. The very language of photography is aggressive and associated with hunting and capturing.
We shoot, we capture, we take photographs. What does this say about photography and more importantly what does this say about photographers? A great many photographers then hoard what they have "taken" or show off what they have taken.
There is a voyeuristic side to photography even if its not sexually motivated. Maybe a word should be invented to describe the "looking" that photographers in particular do.
Yes it is voyeuristic, even if it isn't consciously for sexual purposes. The photographer can be seen as a stalker looking for things to capture and appropriate for themselves.
